How to launch your site? Search engine optimization
With this article I want to complete my attempt to introduce readers to the topic of launching their site on the Internet.
Earlier, methods and methods for creating your portal, buying hosting services and registering your domain name have been described.
So at this stage it would be quite logical to assume that our conqueror of the global Internet has his own website ready, and anyone can access it simply by entering his Internet address.
It would seem that all the work has been done, and it remains only to reap the benefits. But it was not there. The main question now stands in our way. How to make people learn about the site and begin to get to it not only by your personal tip?
Immediately I propose to decide that in this article offline methods of promoting your site will not be considered. A series of articles is devoted to launching a site on the Internet, therefore, all actions for its promotion will also be limited to the global network. Moreover, there are no limits to these boundaries, as well as the Internet itself.
So let’s get started. Before starting work on promoting our site, you need to understand how an ordinary user searches for information, services – in other words, everything is on the Internet. The situation here is such that a person does not need to know the specific addresses of websites that meet his desires. It is enough for him to form a search query, drive it into Yandex, Google or another search engine, and she will do everything for him. At any user’s request, search engines will immediately provide thousands of links to web pages that match the entered keyword phrase. But the fact is that a person will not browse all this many links. The first ten are enough for him, and our task is to understand how to be in this top ten of the elect.
The direction that studies web page ranking algorithms, as well as the development of site tuning methods for these algorithms, is called search engine optimization. Search engine optimization is a science that cannot be neglected. It makes no sense to pay money for developing the best site if no one knows about it.
There are many methods for optimizing your site, but it is customary to divide all of them into two categories, external optimization and internal. Internal optimization is directly related to your site, the content of its articles, their volume, number of pages, a combination of keywords, their percentage in the text, the content of metadata, the structure of the html code, the presence of certain tags and much more.
This article is introductory, so I will not describe specific methods for optimizing my site, it is impossible to do this within the framework of one article. The main thing you need to understand here is that the whole structure of your site, all its articles need to be optimized for those possible search queries that potential customers of your resource will enter in search engines.
So, for example, if your company sells cars from Germany, you need to fully customize your site for queries such as “buying a car”, “car from Germany”, etc. The more specific the search query, the easier it is to optimize the site for it. So, for example, if you optimize your site for the query “buy a car from Germany without a run from GMOTORS, you’ll have a much better chance of being among the first search engine links than the query“ buy a car ”, because in the second case there are competitors you will have an order of magnitude more.
External optimization explores methods of website promotion that are not directly related to its content. In this area, a good result is achieved much longer and often with great effort, but the importance of external optimization can hardly be overestimated. External site optimization draws attention to such indicators as the number of external links leading to your site, the subject of the sites from which these links lead, the rating of these sites, the rating of your site, the rating of sites to which links from your site lead, and much more .
Thus, the task of optimizing your resource seems to be the most difficult in the entire process of launching a site. Moreover, there are no predetermined, accurate methods and algorithms for website promotion that could guarantee you a place in Google’s top 10.
Of course, you can do website promotion yourself, but without knowing the general principles and rules, you can only harm yourself and your portal. Therefore, in this case, it is best to turn to professionals for help, since there is no shortage in the Internet services market. Website optimization is a continuous process, therefore, payment for promotion work, as a rule, is not a one-time but a monthly one.
But do not despair! The main thing that you should remember is the first rule, the key to successful website promotion: if your resource offers really high-quality goods, be it some kind of item, service or just information, sooner or later you will be in the top 10 of Google!
